Minimally Invasive Lumbar Decompression for the Treatment of Sciatica

  4. Fewer postoperative complications than general anaesthesia. Pooled analyses report a relative risk of approximately 0.59 to 0.86, with a clear reduction in postoperative nausea and vomiting (relative risk approximately 0.58 to 0.60), particularly in older patients (Rajjoub et al., European Spine Journal, 2024; Weber et al., Brain and Spine, 2025).
